New law removes limit on the number of charter schools

From The Boston Globe: New Hampshire Gov. John Lynch has let a new law take effect without his signature that makes a 10-year pilot charter school program permanent. The old law allowed the state Board of Education to grant up to 20 charter school programs a year. The new law allows the board to grant charter school status to as many applicants as qualify.
