Residents are concerned about future of unused buildings

From The Peoria Journal Star: Four schools in Peoria (Ill.) District 150 are closing this summer, adding to the number of vacant school buildings in the city. Having giant concrete and brick buildings sitting empty in the middle of residential neighborhoods makes some uneasy; others hope they still may offer some future opportunity. The schools that are closing: Columbia Middle School, Peoria Alternative High School, Garfield Primary School and Greeley Alternative School.
