Houston decides not to close three underperforming schools

Board decides that the middle school and two high schools will remain open when school resumes.

The Houston school board has agreed to rescind its threat to close three traditionally low-performing campuses. The board's vote means students can return to Kashmere High, Sam Houston High and McReynolds Middle School in August.
