School system is closing 4 schools and has sent termination notices to all its teachers
From The Providence Journal: Providence (R.I.) School Supt. Tom Brady has announced his resignation. Brady, 61, leaves behind a district roiled in the last month by upheaval with termination notices sent to all of its teachers and the proposed closing of four school buildings in the face of a city budget deficit of more than $100 million. He took the helm three years ago, and was the city’s fourth superintendent in 11 years.
