Central Carolina Community College has broken ground on two buildings on its Chatham County campus in Pittsboro, N.C. The 25,000-square-foot Chatham Community Library will be a joint-use facility, shared by the county and college. It will replace the existing 5,656-square-foot Pittsboro Library and the college’s small library. The 18,000-square-foot Sustainable Technologies Classroom and Lab Building will enable the college to enhance its sustainability programs. It will house labs for biofuels processing, constructions technology and agriculture, as well as a general arts instruction room and a culinary training facility. The architect is Cherry Huffman Associates.
