Ohio district plans new elementary school

K-5 elementary in Genoa will replace 2 older facilities

The Genoa (Ohio) school district is planning to build an elementary school for grades K to 5. Work on the facility is expected to begin this spring at the middle school/high school campus. The state will provide $19.2 million for the project, and the Genoa district will provide about $5.2 million. When the new school opens, the district will close Allen Central Elementary School, which houses grades K-2, and Brunner Elementary School, which houses grades 3-5.
