Recount pending for East China (Mich.) school bond

Election day totals show $9.9 million proposal is ahead by 4 votes

From The Port Huron Times-Herald: The St. Clair County, Mich., Board of Canvassers will convene later this month to recount bond-issue ballots cast in the East China School District. The $9.875 million proposal sought funds for improving classroom technology, for facilities upgrades and to improving energy consumption. The measure has apparently passed 1,205 to 1,201.

Earlier: Voters in the East China (Mich.) School District will go the polls Aug. 4 to decide the fate of a $9.875 million bond proposal. This bond would enable the district to upgrade classroom technology, improve safety for students and make needed facility renovations.
