Donation provided solar panel installation for Kansas City, Mo., school

Rockhurst High expects to save $7,000 a year in electricity costs

From KSHB-TV: An alumnus of Rockhurst High School in Kansas City, Mo., has donated $100,000 to have a solar panel installation on the school roof. Adam Blake, 25, who owns Brightergy, a company that specializes in the installations, says the 50-kilowatt, 220-panel systemshould produce about $7,000 worth of electricity each year. The solar panels are expected to last between 30 to 50 years. The 34-acre campus includes 275,000-square-feet of classroom and office space.
