Groups say Andrew Cuomo’s plan to cut school aid violates 2006 court ruling

From The New York Daily News: A coalition of education groups in New York state is accusing Gov. Andrew Cuomo of ignoring a court order designed to pump more money into New York City schools. The groups oppose Cuomo’s plan to cut school aid by $1.5 billion and say it flies in the face of a 2006 court decision that found the state shortchanged city schools. The coalition includes the Campaign for Fiscal Equity, the New York City Coalition for Educational Justice, the Alliance for Quality Education and the New York Immigration Coalition.
