$1.3 million would enable district to build a kindergarten facility

From The Marshall Democrat: The Slater (Mo.) school board has placed a $1.3 million bond issue on the Nov. 3 ballot. The money would pay for a new pre-kindergarten and kindergarten building. The 13,000-square-foot building would have six classrooms and a central play area. It would enable the preschool program to expand. Although 3-year-olds are eligible for the program, the school now has room only for four and five-year-old students.
