Illinois district will replace building housing transportation and maintenance

Building new facility is more cost-effective than renovation
The Mattoon (Ill.) district is planning to build a new transportation, maintenance and food service building. Officials say that building a $1.72 million facility and demolishing the old building would cost less over the next decade that renovating the existing facility and paying the utility costs it would generate.
