Oakland (Calif.) district breaks ground on long-awaited educational complex

$75 million campus will house elementary school, high school and child development centers

FromThe Bay Citizen: Officials in Oakland, Calif., have broken ground on a $75 million educational complex that has been more than a decade in the planning. The project will house a K-5 elementary school, La Escuelita; the Met-West High School; and two child development centers. There will also be a health and wellness center to serve students and the surrounding community.
