New residence hall at Duke University expected to receive LEED silver certification

Building on Keohane quad is on track to become institution's 23 LEED-certified facility

News release: A new residence hall on Duke University's West Campus in Durham, N.C., is expected to become the university's 23rd LEED-certified building. The building, which opened on the fourth side of the Keohane quad earlier this month, was designed and built to achieve a LEED silver rating. The building will use 35 percent less water and 12 percent less energy compared with an "average" building its size.
