University of Southern Mississippi moves forward with new campus plans

Cross Creek campus expected to have 5,000 students when it opens

Planners have chosen a site for theUniversity of Southern Mississippi's planned Cross Creek campus. The campus near will be built adjacent to the town center so students and faculty can interact easily with the community. The Cross Creek development is made up of 1,400 acres, 200 of which the developers have donated to the university. Planners say the campus likely will have about 5,000 students when it opens but could grow to 12,000. To read The Biloxi Sun-Herald article, click here.
