Feb. 3, 2011

From The Columbus Dispatch: Ohio University's oldest fraternity will shutter its doors next week. Beta Theta Pi's national board of trustees has voted to suspend the Ohio University chapter for a series of alcohol violations, including hosting a 100-person party on Jan. 14 while on probation. The chapter has been on probation since June. It will close its doors for an undetermined amount of time. The same fraternity was suspended from 1995 to 1998 for similar problems.
