High school expansion nearly complete in Northborough, Mass.

Now two towns are fighting over who will receive state funding for the project

After delays caused by blue-spotted salamanders, fruitless searches for buried Native American artifacts, and contractor lawsuits, the final touches on the $60 million expansion of Algonquin Regional High School in Northborough, Mass., are expected to be completed next month. Still unsettled, however, is a dispute between Northborough and Southborough over which town should receive $1.5 million in state funding for the project.
