Dental school facility to open in Detroit

University of Detroit Mercy Dental School gets 85,000 patient visits a year

A new home for the University of Detroit Mercy's School of Dentistry is scheduled to open Thursday. The $25.5 million overhaul of the former Kindred Hospital-Metro Detroit is part of $80 million in upgrades at the university's three campuses. The new facility is twice the size of the previous location. It will have a waiting area for 170 patients, as well as 190 dental chairs.
