Porter Township (Ind.) district fails to pass $34 million bond plan

Money would have enabled district to renovate Boone Grove High School

From The Gary Post-Tribune: Porter Township (Ind.) school district voters have sent a $34.58 million bond issue down to defeat. The proposal would have provided funds for for remodeling and renovating Boone Grove High School. School officials had planned the high school expansion as the first step in a three-phase plan to eliminate crowding at Porter Lakes Elementary School and meet long-term needs.
