Former community college facility will be renovated and used by the high school

From The Baton Rouge Advocate: St. Helena Parish (La.) school officials are using grant funds and seeking a federal loan to change the face and functionality of the district’s high school campus. The district is allocating $700,000 that it has received in Gulf Coast Recovery Grant funds to renovate facilities vacated by Northshore Technical Community College in September after it moved to a new site. The college’s former facilities are on district property next to the high school campus. The district also has applied for a $4.5 million loan from the U.S. Department of Agriculture to construct a 12-classroom and administrative building on the campus.
