Detroit area faces another round of Catholic school closings
Another round of Catholic school closings in the Archdiocese of Detroit could come this month, prompting some parishes to try everything from lawn signs to fundraising blitzes to save their schools. Three elementary schools--St. Albert the Great in Dearborn, St. Angela in Roseville and St. Cyprian in Riverview--have announced intentions to close. More could follow March 15, when parish priests planning to close schools must inform Cardinal Adam Maida.
