Grant will enable Chaminade University in Hawaii to repair damaged hall

$5 million donation will help pay for renovation of Freitas Hall

A section of the roof of Freitas Hall at Chaminade University in Hawaii caved in recently because of extensive termite infestation and water damage. Thanks to a $5 million matching grant from the Clarence T.C. Ching Foundation, the university's original 1920s centerpiece will be repaired and renovations made to the offices of admission, business, financial aid, records and personnel.
