Library expansion underway at California university

California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, will add 100,000 square feet to the facility.

California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, is expanding and upgrading its library. Phase I will add 100,922 square feet to the existing 205,000-square-foot facility, and Phase II will renovate the upper three floors of the facility. When Phase I is complete next year, the library will have an additional 2,067 seats, a 24-hour lab with 102 workstations, seven academic classrooms, a cafe and wireless access throughout the building. The architect is Carrier Johnson Architects.
