Charter school approved in East Baton Rouge Parish

Career Academy set to open in 2011
From The Baton Rouge Advocate: The East Baton Rouge Parish (La.) School Board has approved Career Academy, a charter school proposal developed by the Louisiana Resource Center for Educators and to open in fall 2011. The new school, which will take five years to fill to capacity, is focusing on four areas: manufacturing; health sciences; transportation, distribution and logistics; and hospitality and tourism.
