San Francisco school superintendent will retire

From The San Francisco Chronicle: San Francisco school superintendent Carlos Garcia says he will retire at the end of the academic year after 37 years in public education. Garcia, 60, has led the district for five years. Before that, he was the top administrator in the Clark County (Nev.) district.
