Alaska district says no to new high school

Voters in theKodiak Island Borough (Alaska) district have rejected a $115 million bond proposal for a new high school. The district has contended that the existing high school is outdated and inadequate. Studies indicated the high school needs an additional 70,000 square feet of space to meet modern educational standards.
