New facilities are the first paid for with money from 2008 bond program

News release: The Dallas Independent School District is preparing to open the four new school facilities, the first campuses that have been built under its 2008 Bond Program. The new facilities: Wilmer-Hutchins Elementary School, George Herbert Walker Bush Elementary School in Addison, Ebby Halliday Elementary School, and a new building for the Kathlyn Joy Gilliam Collegiate Academy, formerly housed at the Nolan Estes Plaza. The district also will unveil four repurposed campuses. The Barack Obama Male Leadership Academy, the first all-male public school in Texas, Kennedy-Curry Middle School, Wilmer-Hutchins High School and A. Maceo Smith New Tech High School.
