New York City schools look for more partnerships with business leaders

Chancellor says business partners can help schools work through difficult budget issues

From NY1 (with Video): New York City Schools Chancellor Dennis Walcott has launched a campaign to expand partnerships between schools and local business leaders. The city has established 375 partnerships between a public school and a business leader through the non-profit organization PENCIL. Walcott would like to double that number. He says partners can help principals navigate a tough budget climate.
