U.S. public school enrollment rises

Federal statistics point to increases among Latino students

From The Washington Post: Public school enrollment across the country is hitting a record this year with just less than 50 million students, and classrooms are becoming more diverse, largely because of growth in the Latino population, according to The Condition of Education 2009, from the National Center for Education Statistics.
