Michigan community college plans campus expansion

Oakland Community College will spend $25 million to upgrade Southfield campus

TheOakland (Mich.) Community College plans to spend $25.3 million for renovations and expansion of its Southfield campus over the next 3 1/2 years. The smallest of OCC's five campuses, Southfield is the base for many of the college's health science programs. Southfield has experienced an 84.7 percent enrollment increase over the past 10 years. The campus, originally designed to serve a maximum of 2,500 students, enrolled 3,300 in fall 2007. To read The Detroit News article, click here.
