District CEO apologizes to boy's family for botched assignment

From The Cleveland Plain Dealer: A kindergarten student in Cleveland was instructed to report to his first day of classes on the wrong day and in a school that no longer is open. Eugene Johnson, 6, was notified by the district that he was assigned to Almira Elementary, but that school building was demolished two years ago. In addition, a telephone number provided in the letter for Eugene's parents to call in case any complication arose didn't work.
