District sought $25.5 million to expand 2 schools

From The Philadelphia Inquirer: Voters in the East Greenwich (N.J.) Township school district have turned down a $25.5 million proposal that would have raised taxes to expand two schools. District officials said the work was necessary to accommodate growing enrollment. Without enlargements at the Clark and Mickle schools, officials estimate, one of every four students may be without a seat by 2013. The projects would have been eligible for $7 million in state reimbursement.
