Norton, Mass., voters approve funds for high school renovation

Tax override will provide local share of $34 million upgrade

From The Brockton Enterprise: Voters in Norton, Mass., have approved a tax override that will provide the local share for a high school renovation. The vote enables the town to carry out a $34 million upgrade of Norton High School. The Massachusetts State Building Authority will provide 64 percent of the cost, and Norton taxpayers will contribute $12.8 million. In a second ballot question, Norton voters approved a $751,250 proposal to fix the school’s track and bleachers.
