University of Chicago is expanding library; $42 million project will provide space for 3.5 million volumes.

The University of Chicago is preparing to begin Construction on a $42 million addition to the Regenstein Library. The project is designed to provide additional space for 3.5 million volumes and will include high-density automated shelving systems. The university expects to finish the addition by 2010.,/p>
