Avon Lake board has $18.5 million package ready, but may decide to hold off on election

From The Elyria Chronicle-Telegram: The Avon Lake (Ohio) school board is putting together plans for an $18.5 million bond proposal, but members are undecided about whether the district should put the proposal before voters in November. The board has agreed that the bond proposal would include a $13 million request for additions on the district’s four elementary schools and Learwood Middle School, and a $5.5 million request for stadium renovation and a bus garage. Officials say the board may decide sometime in August whether it should postpone a bond election so as not to be an additional burden on taxpayers.
