Aug. 12, 2009

From The Biloxi Sun-Herald: A planning committee at the University of Southern Mississippi has recommended about $12 million in budget cuts, including closing its campus in Jackson County. For years, the university has leased a building in Jackson County from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College for about $201,000 a year. Moving courses and personnel to other campuses will save that money.
