Plans for new and expanded charter schools in Chicago are tabled

New CEO wants to hear community concerns before pursuing plans

From The Chicago Tribune: Chicago school district officials have decided to withdraw proposals for four new charter schools and plans to expand existing ones. Interim CEO Terry Mazany says district officials decided to table the proposals after hearing the community's concerns. He says officials will address those concerns before making any final decision while being "mindful of our financial realities."
