Southwestern Oregon Community College is building a $6 million facility in Brookings

From The Portland Oregonian: Southwestern Oregon Community College based in Coos Bay has broken ground for a new branch campus building near Brookings in Curry County. The Curry campus will operate in a two-story, 26,785-square-foot building that is expected to cost $6 million. The building, expected to be complete in October of 2011, will be equipped with 11 classrooms, a science laboratory, a computer lab, support areas for tutoring and study, a commons and student lounge. The building is also being designed to serve as a community hub for short-term training and conferences.
