Anderson (Ind.) district will close one of its two high schools

Board says action will save $5.5 million
Dec. 16, 2009
From The Indianapolis Star: The Anderson (Ind.) district will close one of its two high schools next year as this once-bustling manufacturing town continues to lose jobs and residents. School Board members have voted to combine the city's 2,000 students in grades 10 to 12 in one high school next year; they have not decided which one will stay open. They also have not decided whether to close the Wigwam, the city's legendary basketball gym.
