$5 million bond request in Colfax (Calif.) district

Money would pay for technology upgrades, other improvements.

The Colfax (Calif.) Elementary School Board has placed a $5 milliong bond request on the Nov. 4 ballot. Proposed projects include improving classroom technology as well as upgrading electrical systems to enhance computer access in classrooms and libraries. It could mean permanently mounted projectors and interactive white boards as well as 10 computers in every classroom. Also proposed is the construction of a science, computer and vocational laboratory as well as installation of solar panels to reduce energy costs on the campus.
