Sarasota County (Fla.) district will rebuild Venice High School on existing campus

District hopes to have new facility ready by 2011.

Venice (Fla.) High school will be rebuilt on its existing campus. The Sarasota County school board has approved a plan to build a new facility that will be ready for students by 2011. The board based its decision on overwhelming public sentiment in the Venice community to maintain tradition and not move the school. The district will now look to hire an architect.
