MIT sues architect Frank Gehry
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology has sued world-renowned architect Frank Gehry, contending that flaws in his design of the $300 million Stata Center in Cambridge caused leaks to spring, masonry to crack, mold to grow, and drainage to back up. The 400,000-square-foot Ray and Maria Stata Center houses labs, offices, classrooms, meeting rooms, an outdoor amphitheater and a "street" that winds through the ground floor.
