Pennsylvania district plans elementary school upgrades

$17 renovation will add air conditioning and new heating system
The Hempfield Area (Pa.) School District has approved a $17 million renovation project at Stanwood Elementary School in New Stanton. Work at Stanwood will include adding an air-conditioning system and installing a new heating system along with new floors, lighting and ceilings. There will be improvements to accommodate students with disabilities, and a shop area will be converted to a kindergarten classroom.
