Gunshot wounds freshman at University of Minnesota Twin Cities

Student's injuries are not life-threatening; suspects sought
From The Minneapolis Star-Tribune: A freshman at the University of Minnesota's Twin Cities campus was shot and wounded overnight near a residence hall. He underwent surgery for at a local hospital what was described as a non-life threatening injury. The trouble started about 11 p.m. Monday, when two suspects tried to rob two female students before fleeing toward a grouping of large residential halls. Moments later, a male student outside of Centennial Hall heard the suspects say something to him. One of the suspects shot the student in the abdomen.
