Building stands in the way of planned mixed-use project

From The Cleveland Plain Dealer: Viking Hall, a former Holiday Inn that became Cleveland State University's first residence hall in 1986, is coming down. The 13-story building, considered an eyesore by the university, is on a key block that officials want to transform into a $50 million commercial, retail and residential development. Viking Hall housed up to 395 students, but was closed in 2010.
