Money will pay for 2 junior highs and 5 elementary schools

From The Salt Lake Tribune: The Nebo (Utah) School District appears to have won approval of a $160 million bond proposal, but the final result can't be verified until July 1.The unofficial vote was 3,057 in favor and 2,930 opposed. If the margin holds up, the $160 million will enable the district to build two new junior high schools and up to five new elementary schools. The district will conduct a canvass Wednesday to determine the official results.

Earlier...from The Salt Lake Tribune: Early voting is underway in the Nebo (Utah) School District on a $160 million bond proposal. Balloting will conclude on June 23. The money would be used to build two new junior high and five new elementary schools. The district says it needs the new schools because it is seeing close to 1,000 new students a year. If approved the schools would open between 2011 and 2014.
