Elementary schools in the Racine (Wis.) district are in line for an overhaul.

Five new elementary buildings will be constructed to replace the existing campuses of Olympia Brown, Wind Point, Bull Fine Arts, Knapp and Roosevelt; five other existing elementary schools—Jerstad-Agerholm, Mitchell, North Park, Schulte and West Ridge—will undergo renovation and expansion.

The additional classrooms will enable the Racine district to achieve its goal of reducing class size. Funding for the construction will come from an $83 million bond request that voters approved earlier this year.
