Wake County district seeks developers' help in finding suitable school sites

District is looking for sites for 15 new schools, but adequate tracts are hard to find.

Administrators in the Wake County (N.C.) school district are asking for the development community’s help in finding sites for new schools. The Raleigh News & Observer says the school system has been looking for sites now that voters have approved an $810 million school construction bond issue. District officials say it’s getting harder to find large sites that meet the district’s needs. Commercial and residential developers often are competing with the school system for such tracts.
