School security debate in Memphis-Shelby County (Tenn.) district

Video from WMC-TV: The debate in the merged Memphis-Shelby County school district over its budget, including the price of school security, continues. As separate districts, Memphis City Schools had in-house security, but Shelby County Schools did not. Some Shelby County Commissioners favor the county model because they believe the Memphis Schools security model was too pricey. But Interim Superintendent Dorsey Hopson warns that schools cannot skimp on safety.
