Michigan district for struggling schools seeks $2 million advance to address computer shortage

From The Detroit Free Press: Michigan's new reform district for the lowest performing schools doesn't have enough computers for its much-touted online curriculum, and some of its schools are suffering Internet glitches that interrupt online lessons. The executive committee of the Education Achievement Authority is requesting a $2 million advance from its monthly state funding allocation to fix the problem.
