Massachusetts to provide more funding to community colleges

A new funding formula implemented by the state of Massachusetts will funnel more money to community colleges, the Herald News reported. The formula was introduced this fiscal year and splits $20 million in funding among the state’s 15 community colleges. Funds are allocated based on enrollment and performance.  In addition to funding, each school receives a $4.5 million operations subsidy.
